My magical AI idea cabinet
sadly it does not lead to Narnia...but it does keep my brain organized
You know that moment when you find an amazing idea you wrote down six months ago, and you're like "OH YEAH! That was brilliant! Where did I put the rest of that plan...?"
In my case, it was a post idea I’d scrawled on a napkin in the car. Then forgot about for awhile until I found it and took a picture of it. SO I’D REMEMBER IT THIS TIME.
I came across it yesterday scrolling though old photos. It’s over 2 years old. Because of course it is. 🙄

Here's the thing about ADHD entrepreneur brains: We have ALL THE IDEAS.
They're... everywhere.
In emails we sent ourselves at 2 AM. In random Google docs. In that note-taking app THAT WAS GOING TO SOLVE EVERYTHING that we used for exactly three days last March. On Post-its stuck to our monitors (and books, and walls, and, well, see the above gif).
I know how to fix this!!!
I also know this will sound like I’m shilling for Claude AI, but when I started using it, it was the only one I knew of that does this, and it’s SO AMAZING. 😍😍
Claude has projects.
Ok, I know. That’s a little anticlimactic. But bear with me.
Here's how it works:
Create a project (let's call it "Brilliant Business Ideas" because why not?)
Upload ALL THE DIGITAL THINGS:
That email you sent yourself at 2 AM
The Google doc full of random thoughts
Your "definitely going to use this" note-taking app exports
Voice memo transcripts
Any typed up or digital documents
(Pro tip for my fellow paper lovers: For handwritten notes, you'll need to type them up first. Or create a voice memo you can transcribe. I know, I know... but at least you get to decide if that idea you wrote at 3 AM actually makes sense.)
Now here's where it gets AH-MAY-ZING. Once everything's in there, you can:
Have a conversation about finding common threads between ideas
Start a different conversation about which ones to prioritize
Ask about potential market overlap
Look for patterns you might have missed
ANYTHING ELSE YOU CAN THINK OF!!!!!
Reason 1 this is amazing:
You don't have to re-upload everything every time you want to explore a different angle.
It's all just... there.
In your project.
Like a magical filing cabinet.
Reason 2 this is amazing:
You don’t need to organize ANY OF IT.
AI will scan through it all in microseconds when you ask a question and figure out what’s relevant.
It DOESN’T CARE AT ALL if it’s a mess of disjointed documents.
Like the magical filing cabinet is managed by a tireless, enthusiastic elf.
Reason 3 this is amazing:
You can add new stuff to your project anytime!
Had another 2 AM brilliant idea? Type it up (in the platform! Or wherever) and add it to the project knowledge.
Had an amazing AI conversation about strategy? Ask Claude to summarize it and save it in your project. Which, as a bonus, helps you keep your conversations from getting too long!
It's like building your own external brain that actually remembers where you put things.
Seriously. SO AMAZING.

Wanna give it a try? I made it easy:
Your "Actually Doable" Action Plan
Right Now:
☐ Look at your idea collection spots (the real ones, not the imaginary organized ones)
☐ Pick THREE places to start with (because we both know "ALL THE THINGS" = nothing gets done)
This Week:
☐ Create your first project
☐ Start uploading those digital files
☐ Pat yourself on the back because LOOK AT YOU BEING ORGANIZED
Next Week:
☐ Have your first idea-organizing conversation
☐ Set up a stupid-simple way to add new ideas… Maybe a dedicated "ideas" doc that you can upload later or a voice-to-text app that creates transcripts. Whatever works for YOUR brain
☐ Pick ONE time each week to transfer things to your project
☐ Accept that some weeks you'll skip it (and that's okay!)
Have any questions or successes? Let me know! And do you know of another platform that lets you organize like this? I’d love to hear about that, too!
I've just named my chat gpt Jeremy! No idea why, it was the first name to pop into my head so I went with it. I do find it frustrating how I have an idea for a piece to write and jot one or a few sentences down in my Notes app, but then when I have the time to write and come back to my note I don't remember all the things I wanted to say about it! I've copied all those little notes over to Jeremy and hoping that he'll help me dredge out of my memory what I was thinking when I first made the note…
